Marty Mercer brings more than 25 years of business experience to The Complex Sale, most of which include experience in sales and sales management. He joined TCS in 2007 with a focus on workshop development and delivery.
Marty has sold in both the simple sales environment as well as the complex sales environment. A veteran in the software industry, Marty started his complex sales career by selling scheduling systems to nursing departments for a small start-up company. He helped that company grow to over $30 million in five years when it was bought by the Medaphis Corporation. Marty then spent the balance of his sales career selling and managing the sales of large enterprise clinical information systems for two different publicly traded companies. During his software sales career, Marty has sold or managed the sale of $130 million in contract value to over 500 different healthcare organizations.
Marty received a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of South Florida and a master's degree in health systems from Georgia Tech.
